Run the Runway Fun

Lowcountry Flying Club members, friends and family had a great time at the 2019 Run the Runway 5k hosted by the Charleston AFB. Below are some of the photos with captions from the event.

Thanks to Wendy organizing the team and for supplying everyone with matching shirts!!!
Wendy is considering a flight before the club spends this much money?
Bill and Wendy thinking big, “Our next club plane?”
A few surprise and late arrivals make the club team bigger for the run/walk.
Hank trying to keep up with Bill D to bring up the rear for the team.
The Lowcountry Flying Club Team brings home the 2nd Place overall team award.
Somehow we brought home the “Fastest DoD Team” award. We think it is because Bill, Hank, Riley, and Josiah were registered as being DoD affiliated. Bill is retired and Hank is DoD civil service. Riley and Josiah are DoD dependents.

Thanks again to Wendy for organizing our club participation in this event for the 2nd year in a row. Wendy does a great job of helping the Lowcountry Flying Club demonstrate its vision as a group of enthusiastic aviators, who aspire to create a network of friends in flight with safety, fun and new adventures as our top priorities.

N79228 has arrived

Our club is excited to announce a milestone. We have acquired our first airplane. We decided back in August 2018 to convert the club to an equity membership model and purchase a plane. We do have a limit on the number of members, but do have a couple of open membership spots if you are interested in joining. We still meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month at the KMKS terminal meeting room. We are very transparent and friendly bunch. All guests are welcome. Please contact us before you come to ensure we have not moved the meeting to a different night of the month.

Regular Meetings – 1st Tuesdays

The Lowcountry Flying Club has established a regular meeting time of 7PM on the first Tuesday of each month. Our normal meeting location will be in the FBO conference room at the Berkeley County Airport (KMKS). The KMKS FBO is conveniently located just off HWY 17A between Summerville and Moncks Corner, SC.

“We are a group of enthusiastic aviators, who aspire to create a network of friends in flight with safety, fun and new adventures as our top priorities.”

New members are welcome!!! We encourage perspective members to contact us to get more information about the club. Perspective members should also get added to our mailing list so that you receive regular updates on meeting agendas and other activities related to the club. Updates are distributed via email.
